These terms govern your use of the ankrly platform. Please read them carefully.
By accessing or using the ankrly platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services. These terms apply to all users, including organizations, schools, administrators, volunteers, and students.
ankrly provides a volunteer management platform that enables schools, nonprofits, and other organizations to schedule, track, verify, and report volunteer service hours. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service with reasonable notice, except where such changes materially affect existing contractual obligations.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and promptly update it as needed. Notify us immediately at security@ankrly.com of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account.
You agree to use ankrly only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not: (a) use the platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations, (b) impersonate any person or entity, (c) engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the service, (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform, or (e) use the platform to collect or store personal data about other users without their consent.
When schools and districts use ankrly to manage student volunteer hours, we act as a school-authorized operator under applicable privacy laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Schools are responsible for providing appropriate consent and notice to parents regarding student data collection. We process student data solely at the direction of the educational institution and never use it for any independent purpose. We do not sell student data, use it for targeted advertising, or create profiles for non-educational purposes. Upon request from a school or parent, we will promptly delete student records.
Paid plans are billed according to the pricing tier selected during registration. Subscriptions automatically renew on their billing cycle unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
You retain full ownership of all data you submit to ankrly. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content. We will never sell or give away your personal information or your organization's data. Our data handling practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ankrly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. This limitation does not apply to liability for gross negligence, fraud, or injury caused by our negligence.
We may suspend or terminate your access to ankrly for violation of these terms, extended inactivity, or at your request. Upon termination, your right to use the service immediately ceases. We will provide you with a reasonable opportunity to export your data before account closure. Sections regarding data ownership, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
